Exciting & Unforgettable Journey to Jordan

I am going to take this opportunity to share the valuable knowledge and experience about our living in Jordan. I’m a tourist who doesn’t speak Arabic yet wants to change this situation and enjoy the traveling. Jordan is surrounded by Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria Palestinian and Israel.

If you are looking to explore Middle East for the very first time, Amman is the ideal destination. Jordan extends a fantastic overview for those who are new to traveling the Middle East region. This journey provided my family a pleasant balance between the traditional and cultural portions.

Amman is the capital city of Jordan which is retaining its uniquely Jordanian culture. Widely spoken and official language used is Arabic. However, as per our experience most of the people in Amman are possessing the basic English knowledge.

Attempting to speak a very few basic Arabic words will gain you respect from the locals and is a good way to break the ice.

Here are a few useful words to get you started:

The currency used in Jordan is Jordanian Dinar (JOD). You will find many opportunities for shopping; There are many locally made handicrafts and other items at the boutiques of the visitor centers, leading hotels etc. You will find hand-woven items, embroidered items and clothing, glassware, jewelry, marquetry work, antiques and many more.

Amman is a vibrant city which consists of many tourist attractions to explore, and you may spend a couple of days. Visitors to Jordan presently not required to bring a negative PCR test from the country of departure. Further, visitors need to fill the declaration form before their departure (72 hours) and obtain the QR code. It is mandatory to present the QR Code to enter Jordan.

Visitors with a valid passport may get a visa at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport (for unrestricted nationalities) and the visa is only valid for 01 month. Queen Alia International Airport is the main airport in Jordan.

Travel between Queen Alia International Airport and Amman is very easy as there are many options for the visitors.

1.      Sariyah Express is a comfortable, easy, cost-effective transportation service between Queen Alia International Airport and Amman.

2.      Public transport buses run regularly from in front of both terminals.

3.  Uber Taxi is comfortable, affordable, and reliable option. The Airport taxi kiosk and administrator waiting outside the Arrivals Hall main exit.

Visitors should make sure that you have Jordan Pass in hand and Jordan Pass is only valid for 12 months. Most of the attractions you are going to visit in Amman includes tickets. Jordan Pass is very valuable for the visitors because that will save time, efforts, money and waive the visa fees. You will have to show the Jordan Pass at the ticket counter/ entrance of the tourist attraction.
