Skills needed to accomplish tasks

Self-evaluation on the own abilities/skills
The lecture was very pleasurable for the students today as the lecturer Mr. Rehan asked to prepare an aeroplane using the own abilities. Students made different kids of aeroplanes and next the lecturer asked the students to throw the aeroplane near to the white board. It was very exiting to see all the rockets flying here and there in the lecture room. Some students on their first time did that but some couldn't. Then the lecturer Mr Rehan guided the students how to prepare the aeroplane in order to achieve the target and the lecturer followed some steps. Then again the lecturer said to throw the aeroplane for all of the students. That time most of the students attempts was succcessful as the students got to know if the front is nib, it can hit to the target place. This time there were two winners.

A skill is an ability to use the correct technique at the right time successfully by putting efforts into it (Rotman.utoronto, 2012). To prepare an aeroplane actually there should not be any talent but students can use the mind and put efforts to make an aeroplane.
technique is the ability where artist, writer has, in order to perform a particular task (Posetech, 2007).In other words its way of accomplishing a task.


Perfection Vs as Imperfection
Next the lecturer selected a topic "Can Imperfection create perfection" to talk with arguments and examples. The lecturer explained and asked students to express the own ideas. All depends on how you define perfection. God is perfect.

Some of the author's perfections are as follows;
  • Learning new vocabulary and adding them to the existing vocabulary.
  • Try out something that is difficult many times until i get it right.
  • Doing my homework on time.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Supportive to others and patient.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and  Self-confidence.
  • Involve with team members in the group.
  • Positive thinker and honest.
  • Interested in learning new things (curiosity) and creativity.
  • Bravery, kindness and spirituality.

Some of the author's imperfections are as follows; 
  • Spelling the words and multipying fractions.
  • Have to have things written out.
  • Don't feel comfortable until finishing the work.
  • I hate people who are fraud others.
  • No experience in business field. 
How to overcome these imperfections?
  • Remember the spellings for naming words.
  • When i need to remember something read many time and try to remember. Use the printed documents if they are available.
  • Do work on time and be comfortable.
  • Collect the knowledge in business daily.

When the lecturer entered to  the class, Mr Rehan said that today not going to prepare the aeroplanes as yesterday.  Today the main objective was to reflect on what is meant by skills, personal qualities like wise.

According to Cottrell (2008,P25), skill is a learned activity something which everybody can develop by practicing a certain task. Skills engaged in developing personal qualities are,
  • awareness
  • commitment
  • determination
  • self-motivation
  • time management
  • positive thinking
  • T2.gstatic (2012)
  • perseverance.
In order to work in the industry people need to have the above skills to gain success in the future of the life.As well as success in the degree program and masters and so on. Specially weakness is affecting for people's performance in the life style. 
Some of the skills engaged in developing personal qualities are discussed below.
Commitment 
  • An agreement to perform an activity in the future under some circumstances (Investorwords,2012).
Determination
  • Act of determining about something by arguments or reasoning   (merriam-webster ,2012).

  • Ability to do something without the influence of other people (businessdictionary,2012).
Time management
  • Its essential to prioritize the work according to a plan (mindtools, 2012)


Perseverance 

  • Continued effort to achieve something in spite of people's failure activities for the students (merriam-webster,2012) 









Five study-skills components
According to Cottrell (2008,P26), the study skills components are, 

 1. Self-awareness and self-evaluation.
 2.  Awareness of what is required.
 3. Methods, organization, strategies. 
 4. Confidence and permission. 
 5. Familiarity: practice and habit.

Soft skills
 Soft skills are more important than Hard skills. This is essential in order to success in professional life. According to Impactfactory (2012), soft skills are personal attributes, interpersonal look or interaction. This is broadly applicable. Soft skills have common sense, optimism,responsibility. And the abilities like team wok, leadership, communication, negotiation.

        When selecting the candidates as employees, some of the below of the soft skills are needed,

    4. Honesty
    5. Grammar
    6. Reliability
    7. Flexibility
    8. Team skills
    9. Eye contact
    10 Good attitude

Hard Skills
Some teachable abilities that can be measured is known as hard skills (Searchcio.techtarget, 2012) . While comparing hard skills with soft skills, soft skills are less tangible. Any job needs typing, writing, reading and technical abilities. 
According to Bemycareercoach (2011), some of the hard skills are listed below.
  1. facility with spreadsheets
  2. typing
  3. mathematical ability
  4. proficiency with software applications
  5. operating machinery
  6. software development
  7. speaking a foreign language
  8. calculus
