Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world together

Most beautiful kindred of all of us are the companionship. Without excitement, confusion, tangles and commitment life becomes a cake-walk if you have a hand of a friend to hold on. It is a great blessing of God. Our friends are our pillars of strength and give us the support and comfort that we all seek in life "A hedge between keeps friendship green". And also there are few people who are prepared to obtain all our sorrows and are always there for you when you need them. I can say this because I have been gifted with such a beautiful gift called “Friends” in my life. God has given us many relatives to cherish where each one of it having its own importance in our life. Friendship is apart from caste, class, blood or status. Friendship needs to check the love in the heart of the other party to be friends with; "Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for this better to be alone than in bad company". So why do we need friends? What is the importance of friendship in our life?

Friends help us in many ways to us in anytime. At whatever time I am upset, comrades are the initials who become aware of that sadness in my eyes. But even I try to hide it behind my smile it can be identified to the friends and can make me happy. Whenever I am stuck in a problem and have no solution, they are the one who provides me the best possible way to solve it. Every time when I need a company friends are there to make me laugh leaving behind other things. Even if it is about credible parents for a night out or going to a friend’s birthday party, friends are best in their job.

v  Have you heard this famous proverb? “A friend in need is a friend in deed”. It means a friend who helps you in the time you are in need of help is a true friend; and also in description it means that if your friend is a true friend then they will come to you for help.

Buddies are the people where we can discuss everything pre-thoughts. So this is personal. Whenever we look back in our life, we will understand they are the one with us in any time and we have shared best and worst. Although we have numerous people around us friends make this difference with us in life. We are happy when friends are with us every time. Friends are a external to our family where the responsibility of each person is shared equally by knowing each to other. Friends guide us to the right path and never turn away us from the target. Also friendship is like an investment with trust and faith.

Trust grows when friendship matures. Also we trust our friends a lot than parents. Each day spent with friends is to be cherished in different by misunderstanding or fighting with them. When we look at past we can see that we have mixed feelings in the life with them. Sharing is very important in life when living with friends. From the childhood till to our end of life we share the experience, thoughts with them to build a strong friendship. If we recall past moments in life we will remember that, at school we share the meals with friends, share the opinions before we even go to buy clothes to a party. This good quality teaches us to be unselfish and generous. Furthermore earlier we played Badminton, Elle, volleyball and enjoyed a lot in outdoor as well as indoor games. These are some of the unforgettable instants shared with friends to make life beautiful which shows like "The only reward of virtue is virtue; the only way to have a friend is to be one."

True friendship comes across narrow obstacles such as religion, financial status, sex, country etc. Remember this every time; in the nursery we didn’t make a friend due to the above discussed barriers but as we liked him/her, that person became the friend. Excellent understanding of each other is vital to build true friendship. “A cheerful friend is like a sunny day spreading brightness all around" elaborates that friends are there for our success in life. Superior buddies act as valuable guides when we are tread he wrong path and joy in success. Think of all the moments in life – success of the All Island Creative Writing Competition conducted by HNB only person who happier was my best friend. Our comrades are never far behind to celebrate our success.

Finally, I would like to say that a friend is one to whom one may pour out all the inside of one's heart, grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take it. A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away. A true friend never gets in your way unless you happen to be going down is the main truth of companionship.

My friends specially help me and also i help them a lot like helping to do the assignments, and other work. Some of my friends are Ashani, Dinithi, Madara, Hirushi, Sashya, Dileepa, Harshani, Kalani etc. I love valuable my friends a lot.
