How to stop wasting time online?

Identify time wasters
If you are interested in getting rid of this dangerous habit, the first thing you need to do is identify the resources you waste time on. Each person has different surfing habits, so that speaking in general terms is simply impossible. One person may waste a lot of time by following a certain website or a chat, while other party may not even be interested in that.

That being stated, there are two types of resources I would like to refer to, as a lot of people make the mistake of getting carried away and spending far too much time on them. As a result, they can and will turn into important time wasters and I will find ways to reduce time wasting in chat.

Forums and chat rooms
Can forums be a great source of information. Of course they can, but they can just as easily turn into extremely dangerous time wasters  When browsing through what forums have to offer information, you have more than a few threads to choose from, and the more popular the forum is, the more information you will have at your disposal.
And that’s precisely the problem: you have to understand that, at a certain point, too much is too much. There is nothing wrong with reading a thread or two you find interesting, as looking into what other people have to say regarding a certain topic never hurts.
But there are some s dangerous links where people send with threads which don’t actually provide value as well. From post to post and from thread to thread, you can end up wasting countless hours, only to realize that you haven’t actually gained anything in terms of useful information.
The same way, there’s nothing wrong with chatting with your online contacts as long as you don’t go overboard and spend the entire day on all sorts of instant messengers, which distract you from tasks which actually deserve your attention. Aside from forums and chat rooms, you can also waste a lot of time.
Social media websites
Social media websites can prove to be serious time wasters  From websites such as Digg to YouTube, there are more than a few tempting “opportunities” to waste time, so that being careful is definitely a must.

First of all, websites such as Digg are extremely dangerous since, just as with forms, you have a lot of content at your disposal. While there is nothing wrong with articles which help you gain valuable information, reading about that person is out of the question. It’s very easy to get distracted when following websites such as Digg, always understand that and act accordingly.

The same way, YouTube and similar websites are literally filled with useless and not even mildly entertaining content, which will make you wonder why on Earth you just spent valuable time watching a certain video.

Now that you have a clear idea as to what exactly a time waster represents, I challenge you. And i never watch you tube movies in the time of studies.I only see video which is needed for my studies. You may wonder why is this and who is this girl who rarely goes to You tube. But i  trying to stop wasting time.

According to my research conducted illustrates that social media websites wasted time and became most popular among adults as well as kids nowadays. The following statistics are representing that.

1) Facebook
Global Alexa Traffic Rank: 2
US Alexa Traffic Rank: 2

2) YouTube
Global Alexa Traffic Rank:
US Alexa Traffic Rank: 3

3) Blogger
Global Alexa Traffic Rank: 8
US Alexa Traffic Rank: 9

4) TwitterGlobal Alexa Traffic Rank: 10
US Alexa Traffic Rank: 8

5) WordPress
Global Alexa Traffic Rank: 19
US Alexa Traffic Rank: 21

6) LinkedIn
Global Alexa Traffic Rank: 20
US Alexa Traffic Rank: 14

Facebook has once again topped the list as the most popular social networking website in the world-falling right behind Google as the 2nd most popular website on the planet! Facebook, You tube  and Blogger continue their pattern as the top three social networking sites of 2009 and 2010, while Myspace, on the other hand, is barely keeping up.
