Many things cause global warming. Electrical
pollution causes global warming. Electricity causes pollution in
many modes, some not as good as than others. In most cases, fossil
fuels are flamed to generate electricity. Fossil fuels are made of
dead plants and animals. Some
examples of fossil fuels are oil and petroleum. Many pollutants such
as chemicals that pollute the air, water, and land are sent into the air when
fossil fuels are burned. Some
of these chemicals are called greenhouse gasses.
We utilize these sources of power much in excess of
the sources that give off less pollution. Petroleum is used mostly in the world
via people for the activities like transportation, production of electricity
and making many additional things. Although this source of energy
gives off a lot of pollution, it is used for 38% of the United States’ energy.
Some other examples of using energy
and polluting the air are turning on a light, watching Television, listening to
a stereo, washing or drying clothes, using a hair dryer, riding in a car, heating
a meal in the microwave, using an air conditioner, playing a video game, using
a dish washer. These things are doing by the man in the routine life as these
are needed to make the life easy and quicker.
When you do these things, you are causing more
greenhouse gasses to be sent into the air. Greenhouse gasses are
sent into the air because of producing the electricity and you use to do these
things which cause pollution.
Think on a 50-year scale, which is a much more
natural time-scale for global warming. The US is right now spending about 200
million dollars annually on research into renewable energy.
If you think of how many times a day you do these
things, it’s a large amount of time. You even have to add in how
many other people do these things! That turns out to be a lot of
pollutants going into the air on a day because of people who like us using
electricity. In order to overcome the pollution as well as energy the best is
to use a least amount of electricity.
