Tourism is becoming progressively more important as a source of revenue to many countries but its disadvantages should not be overlooked

At present more people likely to go on journeys. So tourism is getting more profitable than forever to country’s galore. However it is believed that the outcomes of tourism may cause rise serious issues in the world. While tourism is beneficial there are still some concerns. I intensely agree with this statement and consider that the weakness of tourism industry should not be overlooked. 

Tourism industry creates lots of new jobs. In reality the living standard of those who live and work in travelling locations have been predictably improved, since the appearance of high-paid carriers such as tour guide. Consequently, more revenue will be derived from travelers, which makes great contribution to not only local but national economy too. It is often said that due to tourism the natural environment in countries has been destroyed. As a classic example nowadays Sri Lanka’s revenue has come from tourism-related activities and thanks to that. Also with the investment of tourism one's country images are widely broadcasted to the world which will increase country’s role on globe.

The companies are still building and establishing new facilities such as hotels in Jaffna region to earn more from tourism. Even the small scale shops earn profits by doubling the price of product which tourists are buying and hotels too double their rates for them. Thus, this increases the economy of that place and tourism is responsible for developing more hotels with larger areas. These movements lead the plants and animals under threat. More tourists are coming to visit a country means it is more risky. In terms of the rubbish exposed by visitors can harmfully impact to living environments and also result in human being's health.

Native cultures are also intimidated by tourism industry. Native cultures and customs are used as products to get tourist attention in tourism spots. Because of this people may try to neglect the historical values of the country’s culture. It results in the native people losing their valuable traditions. 

Also we can use the revenue to pass the culture and environment on to the next generation. Tourism industry has much potential harm and most of them should not be take too lightly. However there are some positive effects to local people.
