Zoos are sometimes seen as necessary but poor alternative to a natural environment. Is it necessary to keep animals in zoos?

There are many discussions on whether zoos should be prohibited, given that the issue of animal protection has arisen. From my point of view, zoos are important and should be kept although they provide poor alternatives to a natural environment to the animals.

In the modern society, zoos are almost vital places in large cities for people to visit. In some large zoos there are various animals from land to water. In the zoos, all animals including rare animals such as panda, Africa elephant and North-East tiger can be seen. People can enjoy care and protection away from any harm.
However, down with the natural environmental protection awareness many people think that to put animals into small cages will change their living nature.

But it is breaking the environmental equilibrium as well as animals don't have any freedom since they are kept in small cages. It has been said that animal survivability is poor because of the limited contact to nature in the zoos. Zoos are the safest place for the rare animals. It is declared that many species are saved and kept in the zoos. Though some people believe that zoos are not poor alternatives to a natural environment but they are really necessary.

When viewing from the basic relations between animals and human beings; animals should have the equal freedom in the company of human beings. Animals have their own living nature and it is formed according to the biological chain of the Earth. This relation is describes as Ecological Balance generally.

If most birds in a region are killed and locked into cages by human beings, the vermin will eat out all crops and snakes will lose a large part of food. Therefore it is leading to hunger and demise.  For instance when monkeys are forced to jump through fire balls or jump out of the water; then they make special noises for the spectators. This opinion sounds ideal theoretically and practically.

However in actuality, human beings and animals cannot stay together peacefully on the world. Because of humans sometimes may kill the many valuable animals. Therefore, zoos appear as an active way for people to protect those poor animals. Moreover, zoos provide the most favorable environment for children and adult to get to know animals. Nobody can deny the important role in educational field for the zoos.

Zoos can provide a purpose of educating, entertaining nation and slighting the distance between human beings, animals. In spite of the poor alternatives to a natural environment people may benefit a huge deal from zoos. It is necessary to keep animals in zoos for the purpose of protection, teaching and study. In order to make animals survive more contented the necessity is the maintenance of the environmental balance. When we protect our animals it aids to support to save our own living environment. Finally through this discussion of positives and negative I would like to say that keeping animals in zoos is the right decision.
